Regardless of its origins, vegetable carving is flaunted in
many different Asian restaurants, cruises, hotels, and other various places. In
the mid-20th Century, the art of vegetable carving began to grow outside Asia.
Since then other cultures have slowly come to appreciate the beauty and culture
associated with the practice. Today, one can marvel at vegetable carving
throughout the world. Fruit carving is the art of
carving fruit, a very common technique in Europe and Asian countries, and
particularly popular in Thailand, China and Japan. There are many fruits that
can be used in this process; the most popular one that artists use are
watermelons, apples, strawberries, pineapples, and cantaloupes.
Sai Institute of Carving since its inception
2004 has successfully trained over 5300 students from all over India and the
world. This Prestigious Institute of
Carving is an ISO 9001:2008 Certified Institute, the only one of its kind in
India, founded and run by the World- renowned Chef, the holder of 4 World
Records in carving. Students are
professionally trained with meticulous care specially and specifically in fruit
carving, vegetable carving, chocolate carving, gelatin carving, and Ice
Sculpture, Butter Sculpture and Aesthetic carving and sculpturing out of edible
materials.
