SAI INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF HOTEL MANAGEMENT
The field of hotel management is
competitive and employers are seeking candidates with the proper education
skills and experience. Hotel managers
are expected to pay meticulous attention to details, be business savvy and have
excellent interpersonal communication skills.
In 2010, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India started giving hospitality
management students the option to choose only vegetarian cooking. This was
introduced at t the institutes (SAI INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF HOTEL MANAGEMENT) affiliated with the Ministry. Earlier, similar to the curriculum
pattern in most culinary institutes of the world, it was compulsory for all
IHMCT students to learn non-vegetarian cooking. This decision to offer a
vegetarian option by IHMCT may be the first among any of the hospitality
training institutes of the world. It is expected that all IHMCTs in India will
start offering a vegetarian cooking option from academic year 2017 on wards.
